Assume responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty. In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients, staff and patient education, and research. Serve as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Weekdays; 40 hour work week; every other weekend; rotational schedule for weekends and holidays. Will be required to work at other Hospital sites.
Education: Bachelor Degree, Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing and Masters degree
License/Certifications/Registration: Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) and NJ-Advance Practice Nurse License with eligibility for DEA and CDS certificates; Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS). Acute care certification is required.
Experience: Acute care experience is required.
