Short Description

The Director’s role shall cover two primary areas of responsibility: The Cooper University Health Care Patient Logistics Center and patient throughput.

  •  Responsible for oversight and management of all administrative and operational aspects of the Cooper University Hospital Transfer Center (“The Transfer Center”). 
  • Responsible for planning, education, implementation, and evaluation of patient throughput activates and goals at the hospital. This role shall be defined as Hospital Patient Logistics.
  • Responsible for representing the PCS Division relative to all projects associated with the EMS and disaster Medicine Service Line as well as the Cooper University Health Care Emergency Operations Strategic Planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Incident Management Team representative from other UH divisions for directing the Emergency Preparedness regulatory compliance, disaster planning and plan implementation for all facilities of the Cooer Health System which includes Cooper University Health Care, Cooper Health System physician offices and all healthcare business affiliations. 
  • Operations and management of the center for bloodless medicine

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: Sunday through Saturday


Education: Bachelors


Certifications: Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association BLS - required; ALCS and PALS - preferred.


Experience: Hospital patient logistics, bed management, and patient transfers.  

Familiarization with hospital disaster preparedness, functional exercise design and implementation. Experience with emergency planning and coordination of  incident command systems. Must be able to work independently, establish goals and prioritize. Capable of interacting with all levels of management and hospital administration. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and referring providers.
