Not only will you be working in the orthopedic department, you will be working directly with the Chairman and Chief of the department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Miller is an exceptional teacher and is a part of the educational programs here at Cooper and Rowan University. Dr. Miller is well known to the community and has a long career that started prior Cooper. Since then, he has been named Top Doc by several magazines including, Philadelphia and South Jersey Magazine. Dr. Miller gets to know his patients by spending time with each patient he meets, educating and answering any questions they may have. Dr. Miller delivers exceptional care to his patients and has a population that follows him from all over the country.      

 

    

 

      A nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties in various ambulatory settings, including primary, multi-specialty, specialtypractices.

 

     May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting providers

     with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.

 

     Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the  clinical

     services.

 

     Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these

     standards in daily operations.

 

     Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and

     ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: .; License (or Certification):CMA Required

 

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Experience:

 

Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.

 

Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.

 

Epic experience preferred.

 

Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.

 

Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

 

Required License/Certifications/ Registration:

Current documentation of a national certification for the registered medical assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or for the certified medical assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

 

Must possess a current CPR certification and current health records.
