Serve a primary management role for the respective Financial Applications division in the
coordination, implementation and management of Cooper University Hospital financial
applications and systems.
Responsible for management of information systems operations activities, including
financial operations, data controls, operations support, and operating systems programming
Monitors revenues and expenses within department and assist Director in meeting budget
goals and objectives.
Provides input to policy level direction regarding standards and budget constraints.
Reviews and evaluates work and prepares performance and productivity reports for

priorities, and methods.
Consults with personnel in other information systems sections to coordinate activities.
Responsible for the management of individual projects including the ongoing monitoring
and coordination of project activities and resources for both internal and external end-users
from implementation planning through to project completion.
Responsible for systems support, communication of system changes or updates with
systems vendors, administration, and other Health System divisions.
Assist in the day-to-day management of other systems staff and provides technical support
and career planning to team members.
Responsible for the daily management and assignment of staff resources within respective
Provides feedback to Director on staff performance evaluations, projects, efficiency
management and other areas for improvement.
Makes decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, performance
improvement, etc.) in conjunction with Director of Financial Applications
Scheduled Days / Hours: M-F
BS Degree or equivalent, Master degree preferred.
3 - 5 years experience managing personnel or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible experience.
Progressively responsible experience in financial application management programming or financial application support in healthcare required.
Knowledge of financial business operations, managed care administration, scheduling and billing financial systems is required.
Requires intermediate level of experience with one of more of the following software applications: GE/IDX, MCKESSON, SMART 2.0, INGENIX, HBOC GLOBAL, LAWSON, EPIC as well as experience with MS Office Suite and proven project management skills.
