Short Description


Independently responsible for the overall management of the planning, design, construction and occupancy phases of multiple, health care projects of varying complexity meeting the institutions goals and objectives

Independently responsible for managing multiple project schedules

Independently responsible for monitoring and coordinating the activities of architectural & engineering, project management and construction management consultants           

Collectively responsible for obtaining the necessary project approvals from the pertinent Authorities Having Jurisdiction, competitively bidding scopes of work and the acquisition of Institution furnished furniture, fixtures and equipment (miscellaneous and medical) 

Collectively responsible for insuring compliance with all Authorities Having Jurisdiction standards and requirements, including but not limited to the New Jersey Department of Health, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and The Joint Commission Environment of Care Standards           

Ability to find solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner          

Ability to listen, communicate clearly & effectively and collaborate with a wide array of individuals, both inside and outside of the institution

Ability to multi-task, managing several issues at one time often with conflicting priorities    

Ability to maintain and manage the Institution’s Building Information Model, indicating current state, life safety features & resistive construction and areas under construction        

Ability to produce schematic and detailed drawings in support of the Institution’s project management staff and/or contracted consultants        

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: mon - fri (7:30am - 4:00pm)

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering and/or Construction Management

Architecture and/or Engineering Licensure preferred, but not necessary

10 years of continuous health care related project management and/or design experience

Minimum of 5 years of construction administration / field experience

Minimum of 3 years of Revit (Building Information Modeling) experience

Demonstrated health care experience; familiarity with health care terminology and clinical terminology & operations

Demonstrated knowledge of the following Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ):

                                    New Jersey Department of Health (NJ DoH)

                                    New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJ DCA)

                                    NFPA 101 – Life Safety CodeNFPA 99 – Health Care Facilities Code

                                    Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

                                    Guidelines for Design and Construction of hospitals and Outpatient Facilities

The Joint Commission Environment of Care Standards (TJC)

                                    Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)


Strong interpersonal and computer skills, including proficiency in the following:

                                    Revit (Building Information Modeling)


                                    Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, etc)

                                    Procore, preferred but not required
