• Customer Service-Liaison for customer satisfaction, initiatives, inquiries and other issues
• Supervises and directs activities on 2nd shift in Diagnostic and oversight within all sections –including MRI, CT US- of the Radiology Department. To be the point person for IR and Nuclear Medicine after hour calls.

This position may require the Radiology supervisor to perform some diagnostic studies on all patient populations as needed and is responsible for overseeing daily activities within assigned departments to maintain patient flow, ensure maximum staff productivity, and assure that services provided is of the highest clinical quality. Will serve as content expert for staff and Administration by resolving/answering technical issues or concerns which may arise. Serves as point person for QA documentation. Also, provides clinical oversight in infection control as it relates to high level disinfection.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care.
Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s).

1. Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
2. Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.
3. Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
4. Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
5. Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires.
6. Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date.
7. Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes.
8. Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit

Appointment scheduling to patients PCP within 7 days or discharges. If patient has no PCP, assist with obtaining PCP and schedule appropriate appointment within set guidelines.
Facilitate patient discharge from 24/7 Emergency Department by coordinating/scheduling follow-up appointments
Works closely with both primary care physicians and physicians in all specialty areas to coordinate patient’s care plan for consultations, procedures, testing, surgeries or other services as ordered by the treating ED provider
Verify insurance coverage and demographic information. Collect and receipt patient payments.
Responsible for retaining patients in the Cooper Health System whenever possible by scheduling directly in Centricity Business system, Central Scheduling, or calling physicians’ offices directly
Schedule patients for appointments with community services when appropriate. Ability to work collaboratively with and communicate with multidisciplinary teams on behalf of the patient
Inform patients of billing policies and managed care referral and/or pre-authorization requirements
Assists patients and their families with obtaining referrals from PCP to needed specialist when needed. Provides support and counseling to patients and families as appropriate
Communicates with referring providers as appropriate to address patient and physician needs
Partners with patients, families, the interdisciplinary team and community resources to provide well coordinated, timely,and exemplary care
Serves as a resource for community resources. Track and report weekly on all scheduled services.
Float to other ED Registration work areas, as needed, to assist with patient access to Cooper services.
Position will cover all discharged patients on IP units, CDU, Urgent Care Centers, Cooper Camden ED, Salem ED, and other hospital-based care areas as deemed in scope.
