Receives specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for computer applications. Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification. Prints and distributes reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients. Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.
Scheduled Days / Hours: 11:00pm-7:00am every other weekend; rotational holidays.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Phlebotomy or medical assistant training or experience is preferred. Customer service and specimen processing experience in a medical setting or laboratory is also preferred.
