  • Short Description

    The Clinical Effectiveness  Manager :

    • Is responsible for the oversight, maintenance and utilization of all Clinical Decision Support applications, as well as maintaining the integrity of these systems.
    • Identifies, obtains and analyzes data from multiple hospital sources and systems to create ongoing and ad hoc performance reports in support of organizational requirements, goals and objectives in the areas of:
      • Quality and Performance Improvement
      • Patient Safety
      • Clinical Outcomes
      • Regulatory reporting
      • Population Health
    • Presents data graphically and in a concise, timely manner.


    They will provide excellent customer service and serve as a resource to other departments within Cooper University Health Care. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing is mandatory.


    They will provide data reporting of: quality indicators; and outcomes for programs, services and service lines.

    They will demonstrate basic knowledge of quality control procedures and practices within a

    hospital environment. Additionally, they must have knowledge of data collection techniques, performance improvement methods and tools (e.g., Rapid Cycle PDSA, Lean Six Sigma).

    They will customize, maintain, and revise dashboards in alignment with regulatory, government, and Cooper’s mission and vision standards.


    Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements and standards is preferred.


    They will demonstrate the ability to write reports containing technical and clinical information.


    Time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask unrelated activities is required, as well as the ability to demonstrate self motivation and the ability to work independently.


    Special Requirements

    Scheduled Days / Hours: M-F 0800-1630

    Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field, public health, or health related. Master’s degree desirable;


    or, RN required with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
