Assists the Registered Nurse in providing direct, indirect,and non-patient care responsibilities. Assists patients in dressing/undressing, bathing, or eating. Performs EKG's, collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides clerical support for the patient care unit including transcription, record keeping, and departmental communications.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Work day of the week will vary; full time day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm) include working a rotational weekend and holiday schedule.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Medical Assistant Certification is desirable.
Acute Care experience preferred previous hospital/unit secretary and medical assistant experience. Education and/or experience in phlebotomy/ekg is required
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
Additional unit-specific qualifications may be required.
