Promote, improve, and provide support, education and evidence based lactation services to breastfeeding families within inpatient and outpatient settings.
Coordinate and provide best practice breastfeeding education to families going through the birthing process.
Provide education and support to nursing and unit staff related to evidence based practices and excellence inbreastfeeding.
Provide education and support to outpatient office staff
Collaborate with operational staff and leaders to provide services that promote excellence in patient experience within the Maternal and Child Health services setting.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide support and development of the Breast feeding preterm or sick infant.
Maintain, evaluate, and lead the ongoing development of the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative
2 years experience in MCH (Maternal and Child Health services) Nursing with a focus on assisting with lactation needs in a family centered care model.
Experience in assiting clients with initiation of and sustaining BF.
Experience in policy development and staff education.
Experience in case managing BF clients.
Experience working with BF in a Level II or III NICU setting preferred
BSN, MSN preferred.
Current NJ-RN License - NJ Registered Nurse License.
Certification as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)
BLS required, NRP preferred.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Per Diem - as needed
