Under the general supervision of the Director of Clinical Practice, the Clinical Access Navigator serves as a liaison between physicians, nurses, and patients.
Manages and documents patient phone calls pertaining to medical conditions and questions according ro established department routine.
Efficiently operates computer, copier, fax machine, telephone system and performs numerous other clerical and technical duties in accordance with current procedures.
Maintains and utilizes knowledge of all departmental clinical resources.
This position will serve as a key resource to pediatric patient families.
Minimum two years of general ambulatory office experience
Two years pediatric ambulatory care setting experience preferred
Strong foundtations in family centered care principles and communication
Previous telephone triage experience preferred
Graduate of an acrredited school of practical nursing
Current New Jersey LPN License (Licensed Practical Nurse).
BLS Certification (Healthcare Provider Course)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical ability, good interpersonal staff skills, self starter whi needs little supervision
Knowledge of electronic medical records
