Provide for the orderly operation of the EMS system, respond to incidents requiring an EMS
Supervisor for problem solving or decision making, complete all required reports and documentation, enforce operational policies and procedures, observe and evaluate employee performance, provide leadership and direction to EMS Personnel, consider, meet, and exceed the expectations of customers and patients using age and population appropriate equipment and techniques.
Actively seek other assigned duties to support efficient EMS operations and attainment of departmental quality, safety and service goals.
Provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) & basic life support (BLS) care in all weather conditions, in cooperation with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team.
Care will be rendered to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport patients to appropriate medical facilities.
5 years’ experience within an active EMS system providing Advanced Life Support (ALS).
2 years’ supervisor experience within an active EMS system providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred.
High School Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Emergency Medical Services, Nursing or health care related field
Current state issued driver's license with clean driving record
Current NJ Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP) or NJ Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification (or eligible for reciprocity).
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; PHTLS within 1 year
ICS-100 or equivalent and IS-700 or equivalent upon hire. ICS-200 or equivalent and IS-800 or equivalent within first year of employment.
Other qualifications:
Must be physically able to work in all weather and environmental conditions, able to lift and move patients in all circumstance and perform all duties consistent with providing ALS and/or BLS in the pre-hospital environment.
