Overview

Pavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Pavilion 9 staff care for complex cardiac patients including cardiac surgery patients, structural heart (TAVR), cardiac catheterization/coronary angioplasty, heart failure and other various cardiac processes.

 

The Pavilion 9 nurses receive specialized training to care for our cardiac surgery populations

Short Description

  • Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care.
  • Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s).
  • Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

Experience Required

1 year or more patient care experience in a similar role.

Education Requirements

  • Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accredited RN Program
  • Successful completion of an unlicensed health care provider/ technician program
  • High school diploma/GED

License/Certification Requirements

AHA Basic Life Support certification.

Special Requirements

Must successfully complete EKG and Phlebotomy training during orientation.
