To ensure that sterilization and decontam equipment is safe and functional to applicable specifications through inspections, Calibrations, and repairs as necessary.
To support the clinical staff in the use of instrumentation through in-service training,
evaluation of proposed purchases, investigation of problems or incidents and any other
help as needed.
To provide proper documentation and assistance to the Director for compliance with
regulatory and accreditation requirements such as JCAHO and FDA.
3 - 5 years of experience in healthcare setting or equivalent.
Knowledge of a wide range of medical equipment preventive and corrective maintenance.
Mechanical and/or electrical background required.
Associate’s degree or equivalent.
On-call capable
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that may require use of personal vehicle. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications required.
