JOB DESCRIPTION - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) LEAD - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Lead APNs will be responsible to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice and organizational systems to drive process improvement, and positive outcomes. This role will support Cooper Experience, team member engagement and education and quality outcomes for the organization.
Provide high quality, efficient medical care to patients in the inpatient Hospitalist medical service as an Advanced Practice Nurse in collaboration with Hospitalist Attending Physicians, with a goal to proactively move patients through the system to aid in hospital throughput.
Lead APNs will be responsible for general oversight of the Hospitalist APPs, including education, communication, and engagement, quality initiatives and scheduling of staff.
Minimum of 18 months working as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.
MSN Nursing or Physician Assistant is required
NJ-APN or PA license and AHA BLS certification is required
