The Lead Cytogenetics Technologist performs routine and specialized activities related to the operation of the Cytogenetics laboratory. In addition, he/she provides technical expertise to staff and others and acts as the Director’s designee in performing delegated tasks. The Lead Tech collaborates with the director in making decisions in compliance with existing policies, procedures, or instructions.
3-5 years’ experience in FISH and Cytogenetics preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Cytogenetics from an accredited college or university preferred OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences with additional training in Cytogenetics.
CG (ASCP) certification required; must maintain certification
