- Perform and Document:
- Vital signs (manual BPs),
- EKGs,
- Reconciliation of medications
- Reason for visit, health care concern
- Interview/Discuss with patient changes in patient’s health since last visit
- Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures
- Prepare appropriate medications for injections
- Responsible for phone messages, faxes, and Medical Reception responsibilities as needed
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling and familiarity of general office procedures and equipment
A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting Maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies, and deficient. Participates in Clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
