The HIM Coding Quality Reviewer & Educator is responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of coding practices within the HIM department.
- This role involves conducting thorough reviews of clinical documentation, coding, and billing processes to ensure compliance with national coding standards, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Also, plays a crucial role in educating and training coding staff on best practices and updates in coding guidelines to enhance overall coding performance and revenue cycle efficiency.
Provides psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, resources referrals, to facilitate discharge plans, and/or adjustment to illness, and complex discharge planning for patients and their families.
Formulates the discharge plan with patient, families and the care team based upon a needs assessment.
Coordinates appropriate referrals to home care agencies, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, and community-based programs.
Coordinates care authorization process with insurers
Coordinates specific details of patient’s hospitalization with Utilization Management department to ensure appropriate admission status

Under the supervision of the EMS Supervisor, the EMT will provide pre-hospital Basic Life
Support care in all weather conditions, in cooperation with other EMS providers as a
member of the patient care team.
Care will be rendered to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing
appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport
patients to appropriate medical facilities.
Complete all required documentation and other assigned duties which support efficient
EMS operations while maintaining a professional attitude.

To obtain 2D and 3D echocardiograms with color and spectral doppler at the patient's bedside and in echo lab. Perform stress echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echocardiograms as requested and assist cardiologists with TEE and intracardiac echo in the cardiac Cath lab. Rotate hospital on call schedule, arriving within 45 minutes of call.
