This role is directly responsible for the trafficking of patients to and from the floors and Critical Care units to all Radiologic modalities. Prescreen all requisitions to ensure that patients are not going to receive duplicate treatment by bringing those requisitions to the attention of the shift supervisor or lead technologist in each area. Make every attempt to coordinate the efforts of the different modalities, so patients are brought to the department once and receive as many of the scheduled procedures as possible
Responsible for the management of clinical and business operations of assigned sites, including the delivery of quality clinical services, improving patient experience, materials management, software implementations, regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance, environment of care, and facility management, making themselves or designee available after hours for emergency issues such as facility or operational issues due to weather, call outs or other unforeseen circumstances.
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
