A nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties in various ambulatory settings, including primary, multi-specialty, specialty practices. May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting providers with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

The Vice President, Revenue Cycle leads the overall strategy, optimization and implementation guidance of revenue cycle operations for Cooper University Health Care’s acute care, outpatient, and professional networks across the health system.   Key areas of responsibility include oversight of the hospital registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, utilization management and discharge planning, revenue integrity, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), health information management, patient financial services, training, and overall collection of patient service revenues across the revenue cycle.

Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has non patient care responsibilities to include but not limited to turning over rooms, pharmacy/specimen pickup or delivery, setting up equipment for cases and patient transporting. Contributes to quality patient care by serving as a significant member of the health care team.

Support Services Associate personnel are fully oriented, trained, capable of and willing to perform all functions of the duties outlined. The performance and quality standards for the assignment will be met constantly. This position has no direct or indirect supervisory duties or budgetary duties.
