A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

 Carries out procedures for department functions, including, but not limited to: •Washing, inspecting, packaging, and sterilizing instruments/equipment •Maintaining accurate monitoring records •Using and interpreting chemical and biological indicators •Performs appropriate cleaning of all sterilization equipment •Assisting OR personnel in locating/reprocessing instruments •Participating in performance improvement activities. Follows established policies & procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.

To obtain 2D and 3D echocardiograms with color and Spectral Doppler at the patient’s bedside and in Echo Lab. Perform Stress Echocardiograms and Dobutamine Stress echocardiograms as requested. Assist Cardiologist with TEE and Intracardiac Echo in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Rotate hospital on call schedule, arriving within 45 minutes of call.

Review every medication order and dosage for completeness, safety and efficacy prior to dispensing to an individual patient including routine, stat and investigational orders. Maintain drug information, investigational, educational, cost containment and clinical programs

  This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients. Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital. Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients. Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET. Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values to both customer and co-workers. Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.

As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and prevention of various diseases by examining cellular samples under a microscope.  Provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in all weather conditions, in cooperation with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team. Care will be rendered to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport patients to appropriate medical facilities. Complete all required documentation and other assigned duties which support efficient EMS operations while maintaining a professional attitude.

Functions in the role of providing a safe environment for patients requiring close observation. Assists in providing direct, indirect, and non-patient care responsibilities. Contributes to quality patient care by serving as a significant member of the health care team.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES ROTATING WEEKENDS*     Join an administrative team that supports Cooper’s large Department of Hospital Medicine.    The position primary provides administrative and clerical support.  Strong computer (Microsoft Office) & communications skills are a must.   Basic analytical support plus database creation and maintenance will be required.
