Perform various laundry, patient transport, and environmental duties throughout the hospital. Performs specific cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment. Transports patients throughout the facility in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Performs laundering and related assignments necessary to the collection, processing, and distribution of linen throughout the system. Keeps waiting rooms, lounges, and staff areas tidy. High School diploma or equivalent required.

Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control requirements. Maintains Licensure, stays current and participates departmental training offered. Performs procedures (Portables, E.R., Trauma, Fluoro OR and General) as needed. Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/guests. Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external. Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies, maintains paperwork particular to each department/office. Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Ambassador team. Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Attends greater than 80% of staff meetings to staff informed and supports initiatives.

The Patient Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Patient Safety Manager and Assistant Vice President of Patient Safety & Regulatory with coordination of an organization wide patient safety program and all activities related to CUH Patient Safety Plan. Assists with development of education/training programs meant to increase awareness of patient safety initiatives and transform safety culture.   Assists with communication and dissemination of the Culture of Safety Survey as well as evaluation of results . Provides facilitation, consultation and project management to support safety goals and initiatives and process improvement projects. Supports organizational safety event review and analysis, including intensive case analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) practices. Support and perform safety rounds. Coordinates the Good Catch program to reward staff and physicians for their identification and reporting of “Good Catches. Other duties as assigned supporting patient safety initiatives.

The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. The GN holds a temporary emergency RN license and shall be eligible to work only under supervision in an acute care facility licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. Such supervision may be in the form of a preceptor relationship.     Additional Responsibilities: - Follows established policies and procedures. - Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. - Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. - Applies Cooper core values. - Other duties as required. -   The following tasks will not be performed by the GN:   - Applies Cooper core values. - Procedures not signed off by the RN preceptor or Clinical Educator that requires competency. - Direct or supervise other healthcare staff. - Make assignments for other staff.

The Phlebotomist/EKG technician is the primary person responsible for: a. Collecting laboratory specimens and performing EKG’s on patients treated in the outpatient setting, including off site locations and nursing homes b. Collecting laboratory specimens from hospital inpatients. Patients range in age from newborn through older adult.
