The Registered RN is a professional caregiver, who as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. They supervise and provide care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.

ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Serve as the single point of contact to internal and external customers to ensure easy and seamless access to physicians, employees, patients, programs and services.
Handle Requests through various channels while utilizing numerous databases simultaneously.
Relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls to or from internal and external customers in a 24/7 environment.
Manage multiple incoming phone lines; greet callers, answer routine questions, forward calls and take messages.
Work the hospital’s system pager and announce alerts using overhead system.

Responsible for the monitoring of registration functions (such as registration, insurance verification, patient safety and compliance, revenue collections, resource referrals, and customer service) in a fast paced, high volume Emergency Department that provides 24/7 service.
Handles the processing of daily cash deposits, analyzes denials, converts liability self pay accounts to commercial insurance, and supports with discharge coordination. Assists with downtime maintenance and new hire training, Resolve issues within the department in the absence of the supervisor.
Clinical application of the knowledge and skill in the following areas: Pharmacology,
principals and application of chemotherapy administration, side effects and appropriate
nursing intervention, chemotherapy, liaison for patients/families receiving treatment.
Evaluates patients in need of intravenous treatment or medication and plans, implements
and documents nursing care.
Determines appropriate venipuncture site and administers intravenous therapeutic
treatments, which includes chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood components, fluid and
electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments as prescribed.
Provides information and education to patients and families regarding intravenous
treatment and/or side effect management.

1. Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
2. Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.
3. Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
4. Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
5. Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires.
6. Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date.
7. Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes.
8. Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit
