The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper is the major pediatric tertiary care center for southern New Jersey. The more than 40 full-time faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics provide a complete range of general and subspecialty pediatric care and teach within the Department’s pediatric residency and medical student programs. The Pediatric in-patient units include: a 7-bed Pediatric Emergency Room, 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 12-bed step down unit, 20-bed Pediatric floor and 35-bed state-of-the art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Short Description

The Division of Pediatrics is currently looking for a full time Developmental Pediatrician.  This is a chance to join a multidisciplinary team with a wide array of specialists to support patients and their families including child & adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and pediatricians.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly examines patients, reviews their history, and provides a diagnosis.
  • Educates and counsels patients and families on neurodevelopmental and neurobehavioral difficulties.
  • Prescribes and/or administers treatment and medication and monitors behavioral side effects.
  • Within a multidisciplinary environment, teams with other clinicians, including neurologists, psychologists, social workers, etc.
