Short Description

Oversee operation of Boiler Room, including but not limited to

  • Scheduling 24/7/365 coverage
  • 24/7/265 operation of Boiler Plant
  • Performing and scheduling of all required Maintenance
  • Performing and scheduling all NJ State required Inspection of Pressure Vessels
  • Pressure Vessel licensure renewal / maintenance includes all Boilers (3), Chillers (4)
  • Maintain Inventory and all associated paper work required by State of New Jersey for all pressure vessels
  •    Schedule and “triage” all emergency repairs to Boiler / Chiller Plants on campus
  •    Front line supervisor of all licensed stationary engineers (7) ( performance evaluations, etc)
  •    Maintain required licensure to operate boiler plant (Blue Seal minimum / Red Seal for supervisor) Gold seal is required within 2 years of hire date.
  •    Participate in future capital planning
  •     All other duties as required

Experience Required

Minimum of 10 years experience.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or relevant Trade School.

License/Certification Requirements

NJ Boiler License (Red Seal Minimum).

Special Requirements

Extensive HVAC / Chiller Plant experience.
