Short Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for creating tools for data collection and conducting data analysis.

 

The Data Analyst will build data and reporting tables, as well as run queries on existing data sets.

 

Strict adherence to security protocols and HIPAA compliance is a critical part of this work and the Data Analyst will work to ensure that all data are securely transmitted and stored.

 

As needed the Data Analyst work with partners to collect and integrate incoming datasets. 

 

The Data Analyst will work with the Director and collaborating departments to conduct analyses to support grant reports, research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects.

 

The Data Analyst will be encouraged to find creative ways to use quantitative analyses to illuminate trends and patterns in the data, as well test real-life hypotheses.

 

The Data Analyst will demonstrate the ability to present information in a concise and effective manner; as well as the ability to work as a team player and collaborate effectively with others.

 

The Data Analyst will exhibit a high level of initiative, accuracy and self direction.

 

They must be able to work efficiently when there are competing priorities and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

 

The Center for Healing (CFH) provides holistic care to people who use or have used substances. The CFH provides clinical services and conducts research across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

 

This position will support both the grants and research teams in designing and evaluating programs for patients who are served by the Center for Healing. 

Experience Required

Three to five years experience.

 

Proven ability to analyze data in creative ways and display results in a compelling manner;

 

Knowledge of database management software (Access, SQL);

 

Knowledge of statistical packages (Mini Tab, SPSS, R);

 

Experience managing and administering a database;

 

Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel (macros a plus)

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, or similar quantitative experience

Special Requirements

A keen interested in health data;

 

Experience in process improvement preferred,

 

Previous clinical experience and knowledge of ICD-9, CPT/HCPCS and other coding systems preferred.
