Short Description

  • To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting.
  • Assist with patient ADL’s and daily care
  • Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients’ family and/or significant others
  • Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics
  • Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs, POC testing, EKG, Foley cath care documents appropriately 
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges from Units
  • Handling of clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks
  • Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Performance of excellent customer service skills

Experience Required

  • Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience preferred
  • Electronic health record experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding patient experience skills.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
