JOB DESCRIPTION - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) LEAD - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cooper Bone and Joint Institute Cape May, NJ
Responsible for general oversight of assigned APP staff. This includes ensuring required educational and professional development needs are met, communication, scheduling of staff and providers are practicing within their scope and compliant with regulatory bodies. This individual will take a leadership role and leverage their APP to drive institute quality metrics, maximize productivity and contain costs. The lead APP will participate in assessing institute APP needs, hiring and evaluating staff.
Provide high quality, efficient medical care to patients with acute orthopedic or postoperative problems in the office environment to provide access to orthopedic care as an Advanced Practice Provider Lead in collaboration with Physicians and other medical staff.
Minimum of 18 months working as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.
Master’s Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree is required.
National certification in APP specialty. NJ APN license or PA license with eligibility for DEA and CDS certificates.
