Short Description

Provides administrative direction for the Medical Staff Services Department. 

 

     Facilitates all aspects of the organization and credentialing for medical staff and allied

     health professional staff members for the Cooper Health System. 

 

     Facilitates all aspects of managed care credentialing for University Physicians-Cooper. 

 

     Responsible for development and implementation of programs, operations, budgeting,

     staffing and strategic planning for the department.

Experience Required

Minimum of 5 + years' experience in medical staff services, including managerial experience, required. 

Must possess detailed knowledge of requirements/standards JCAHO, NCQA, State and other regulatory organizations. 

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.

Special Requirements

 

Certified Professional in Medical Staff Services (CPMSM) and or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is required.
