Short Description

 

The Unit Clerk/Nurse Aide provides direct support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring patient conditions, and performing routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and supporting patient transport. A key aspect of this position is the ability to demonstrate proficient computer skills, including accurately entering and maintaining patient data and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols. The Unit Clerk/Nurse Aide is also responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, following physician orders, managing supplies, and ensuring timely completion of documentation. This position is vital in enhancing patient care and supporting the healthcare team in a hospital setting.

Experience Required

Previous Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant and unit clerk experience preferred.

Education Requirements

 

High School graduate or equivalent.

License/Certification Requirements

 

 

Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
