The Cytogenetics Technologist performs routine and specialized activities related to the operation of the Cytogenetics laboratory including microscope analysis, tissue culture, cell harvesting, karyotyping on a variety of tissue specimens (bone marrow, blood, tumor tissues).
2-3 years’ experience in FISH and Cytogenetics preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Cytogenetics from an accredited college or university preferred OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemicals, physical, or biological sciences.
CG (ASCP) certification preferred; must maintain certification
Appropriate experience in lieu of certification may be considered
