Under direct supervision, assists physicians with patient care duties. Maintains efficient patient flow, assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures, and patient education. Performs miscellaneous clinic support tasks, including filing, answering phones, and maintaining physicians' schedules.
Electronically submits prescriptions, obtains pre-authorization for medications and makes other patient calls as directed by physician.
Triage phone calls from patients/families and other healthcare providers and collaborates with physician/provider regarding plan of care. Educate patient/family on recommended treatments changes.
Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
Assists with delegated patient education activities including but not limited to distributing education literature, etc.
