The Associate Director will work closely with the Director to ensure successful expansion of the Center and the dissemination of its work. The AD will directly oversee the work of two of the five divisions of the Center (Education and Bioethics), will engage in development to support the Center’s work, and directly contribute to the Center’s educational mission.
Develop and implement a strategy for external communications
Build relationships with regional and national leaders in medical humanities
Provide guidance for faculty researchers
Identify opportunities for collaborations across Rowan University’s schools
Meet regularly with leaders of the bioethics and education divisions to help set goals and ensure adherence to them
Ensure alignment of bioethics and education division goals with the Center’s mission
Recruit and mentor student and resident research assistants
Investigate and pursue opportunities for extramural grant funding for Center’s research program
Design and teach selective courses for medical students
Direct the medical student bioethics concentration pathway
Assist Dir. with identifying new philanthropic donors
