Short Description

  • Work with CSR, SPD, OR, Storeroom Inventory Control, Vendors and Purchasing to initiate and maintain effective inventory control measures and techniques within the OR.
  • Interact with clinical staff, physicians, material management staff and vendors in order to promote and practice inventory control.
  • Insure accurate transfers and credits for Inventory supplies.
  • Insures adequate stock levels are maintained in all stock locations. 
  • Conducting daily inventories in all supply storage locations and maintaining current item information as well as product conversions and updates/deletions. 

Experience Required

  • Six months to one year hospital materials or surgery materials management experience.
  • Knowledge of Materials Management Information System is required.
  • Experience using automated inventory control machines such as hand held scanners required. Familiarity with medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and services, is highly desired.
  • A working knowledge of MMIS is preferred.
  • Prefer applicant to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the supply chain process.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills along with attention to detail are a must for this position

Education Requirements

Highschool diploma or equivelent required.
