Short Description

• The Director of IT Contract and Budget Management is responsible for managing the IT contract and budget activities.
o Responsible for overseeing the administration and execution of contracts within the IT organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and agreements are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business. With an application of deep understanding of contractual law, risk assessment, negotiation tactics, and strong analytical skills to scrutinize contract terms and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, the Director of IT Contract and Budget Management will identify potential issues that could arise during the life of a contract. Contract Managers frequently collaborate with legal teams, finance Department, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and dispute resolution, contributing operational and financial integrity of the Cooper’s IT department. 
o Responsible to oversee and manage the financial aspects of the Information Technology department, ensuring effective resource allocation and compliance with budget policies. This role involves developing, monitoring, and reporting on the IT budget, collaborating with other departments, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. It also includes forecasting revenue and expenses, preparing budget proposals, analyzing financial data and ensuring budgets align with organizational goals. 

Experience Required

• 7-10 years prior experience IT contract and budget management experience.
• Strong Excel skills to plan and build budgets, prepare variance reports, forecasts, as well as scenario planning. 
• Demonstrated Contract negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Demonstrated Legal IT contract knowledge.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of IT budgeting principles and practices.
• Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ability to work with budget software and financial systems.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices

 

Healthcare IT experience preferred

 

 

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree required

Special Requirements

7-10 years prior experience in IT contract and budget management 
Strong understanding of IT contract legal requirements
Strong understanding of IT budgeting principles and practices.
Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
