Performs transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo exams while following established protocols
IV Certified and/or willing to be trained
Perform saline and ultrasound enhancing studies
Perform and interpret vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, carotid duplex, venous studies, and arterial evaluations
Assess vascular anatomy and pathology, providing accurate measurements and documentation
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure optimal imaging and exceptional patient experience
Obtain a thorough patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician
Assist with IACEL and IAC accreditation processes
Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely, ensuring routine maintenance is up-to-date and immediately reporting any malfunctions or concerns
Other duties as assigned
Required 0-2 years experience in echo including 2D Doppler, Color Doppler and TEE.
6 – 10 years experience preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited school or program of echocardiography.
RVT or RVS certification
RDCS or RCS certification
