Receive specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for laboratory testing using various computer applications. Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification. Print and distribute reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients. Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.
0-2 years - Preferred
Prior experience in a hospital laboratory receiving area - Preferred
High School/GED - Required
Vocational / Technical School - Preferred
Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training - Preferred
