Short Description

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced clinical pharmacy services in various specialties to ensure optimal safety and cost-effective therapeutic regimens in collaboration with respective specialty disciplines. 

Experience Required

  • 0-2 years' experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience preferred.
  • Communication – Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers required.

Education Requirements

High School/GED required.

Doctorate Degree required.

License/Certification Requirements

  • New Jersey Pharmacy license (or eligible for licensure within 6 months) required.
  • Postgraduate (PGY2) residency in required specialty required.
  • Board Certification (in specialty practice) preferred.

Special Requirements

  • BS in Pharmacy if entry level degree was prior to PharmD degree.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience (or clinically relevant experience).
  • PGY2 required in specialty or equivalent clinically relevant experience.
  • PGY1 required.
  • Board certification (or eligible) if applicable.
