Short Description

  • Ensures all inventory and equipment (Capital/Non-Capital) is sufficient, functional and available to meet the daily needs of the department. 
  • Provides daily product receiving and distribution coverage for the Emergency Department.
  • Prepares monthly budget reports and forecast annual needs. 
  • Monitors budget on a monthly basis and prepares annual budget. 
  • Arranges the introduction of new equipment/products and analyzes the feasibility to the department. 
  • Verifies and processes patient supply charges.
  • Educates and updates department staff in all matters relating to patient supply charges. 
  • Provides oversight and technical support to ED technician.

Experience Required

Managerial experience, knowledge of materials management process, strong knowledge of budgetary process, knowledge of anesthesia supplies and equipment, computer literate.

Education Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience of 5+ years.
