Short Description

  • The Security Engineer works closely with business and IT to determine business process and productivity needs and develop the necessary technology strategy to support the business goals.
  • The Security Engineer will protect and support technical needs, requirements, and the state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations.
  • Work with technical management to optimize networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology parameters.

Experience Required

0–1 year experience required.

2–4 years' experience preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent Work Experience required.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

License/Certification Requirements

  • NIST, SIEM, HIPPA, Security+, Firewall experience desired.
  • CCVP, CCIE, CCNP, professional certs desired.
  • CCNA desired. 

Special Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT Infrastructure, Security, Firewalls, VPNs, Operations, Administration, and Network Engineering desired. 
  • Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills desired. 
  • Customer focus and positive, can-do approach is critical required.  
  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
