• Performs all duties associated with sterile compounding.
• Maintains competency on ROBOT RX software and hardware.
• Accurately performs cart fill, accurately prepares manual picks for dispensing.
• Maintains competency on OMNICELL software and hardware and Secure Vault software.
• Accurately prepares medications for dispensing to OMNICELL cabinets, accurately restocks OMNICELL cabinets.
• Maintains competency on Exitcare software.
• Performs other operational duties such as preparing code cart trays for final check by a pharmacist, preparing unit dose medications for final check by a pharmacist, maintaining competency in the Medi-Tech pharmacy Module, delivering medications to patient care areas, and assisting in the minimization of missing medications.
• Assists in all areas of pharmacy department as department workload necessitates.
• Performs inventory management by collaborating with pharmacists and supervisors to create a daily order, transmits daily order to wholesaler and other suppliers, unpacks all drug deliveries and processes invoices.
• Performs all work in accordance with all policies, procedures, and standards of the Department of Pharmacy Services.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Director.
Experience with Windows-based programs.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Some college science courses are preferred.
Must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the NJ State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
Must be a certified technician or become certified within 90-days of employment. (PTCB or other certification body recognized by the NJ State Board of Pharmacy).
