Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

  • Follows established policies and procedures.
  • Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
  • Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians.
  • Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

Experience Required

  • 1 year PAT RN required

  • Strong Computer Skills Needed

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current NJ-RN License 

  • Current NJ-BLS Certification 

  • Current NJ-ACLS Certification 

Special Requirements

  • Monday–Friday with variable start times (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)

    • Candidates must be flexible to work any of these shifts.

  • The Preadmission Nurse Coordinator II  requires critical thinking to consider factors related to patient safety, effectiveness, and cost in delivering care.  Effective resource utilization by the Preadmission Nurse Coordinator II requires coordination with the Surgical Team to plan or change course of action for improved continuity of care and outcomes.

  • Requires expanded problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making at a supervisory level, including excellent communication skills and the ability to delegate effectively and supervise the work of other team members.
