Short Description

The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development. The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator functions as an instructor, coordinator and clinical resource to the staff and various OR locations within Cooper Heath System. 

  • Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines
  • Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel
  • Coordinates and instructs the Periop 101 Program at Cooper University Health Care

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of OR experience; 1 year teaching preferred

Education Requirements

  • BSN Required; MSN preferred

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
