Short Description

The Program Manager oversees the coordination and administrative functions of key Cancer Institute programs including planning, organizing and leading program activities. Will serve as the point of contact and lead roll out of initiatives around operational and experience concerns with key partners e.g., Institute leaders, Cooper leaders including IT, Finance, Informatics, Patient Experience, Marketing & Communications, etc. Develop a deep understanding of the cancer program (current and future state) and how it aligns with MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston) and Cooper wide to execute opportunities and recommendations from cancer program leadership.

 

Develops strategies to enhance awareness for the program including physicians, consumers and employees involved in patient care. Maintains Marketing and education materials and develops and maintains website for the program.
Develops new initiatives to support strategic direction of the program. 
Develop funding proposals to ensure continuous delivery of services.
Responsible for the coordination and management of participants who participate in the various cancer center programs.
Serves as primary contact for the MDA Oncology Program including but not limited to participants, physicians, nurse navigators, clinicians, and support services staff. Coordinates monthly program meeting to ensure cross collaboration between disciplines and departments
Develops and maintains database for collection of clinical /operational data associated with the program.
Coordinates, trains, and supervises volunteers who are engaged in the long program/Cancer Center
Monitor all budgeted expenditures for the program and develop reports, forms and records to document program activities and growth.

 

Ensure program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization. Identify, compile, organize and synthesize resources needed to support and develop specific projects  and assists in the process and completion of the IRB approved research projects associated with the program.
Handles daily operational and administrative responsibilities for logistics, problem solving and coordination of program activities including but not limited to scheduling groups and seminars.
