Short Description

This position supports the Cooper Neurological Institute (CNI) and requires the incumbent to register and schedule patients for outpatient office appointments, procedures, and/or surgeries and assists with tasks related to patient care and appointments e.g. record gathering, scanning, faxing, uploading images, etc.

 

This position works in collaboration with all CNI team members, as well as other Cooper departments, including but not limited to, nursing, health care access, patient access center, lab testing, radiology, and OR.

 

 

Demonstrate strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Previous experience with using Epic is highly preferred.

Join our team as an Administrative Coordinator I, where you will serve as the essential liaison between Cooper and Inspira. In this role, you aren’t just scheduling appointments; you are ensuring that patients receive timely, life-changing care through seamless communication and efficient workflows

 

Your Role in the Patient Journey:

 

  • Orchestrate Surgical Care: You will take the lead in coordinating and scheduling procedures and surgical cases, meticulously ensuring that all required information is complete before a case is set

 

  • Be the Bridge: You will serve as the primary point of contact between Cooper and Inspira, facilitating communication and resolving scheduling hurdles to ensure continuity of care for every patient

 

  • Master of Coordination: You will support the surgical scheduling team by gathering all necessary documentation, orders, and clearances while assisting with the prior authorization process to keep care moving forward

 

  • Tech-Savvy Support: Utilizing multiple Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, you will verify patient data and track scheduling status across organizations to maintain a high standard of documentation

Education Requirements

High School Diploma required. Associate's degree preferred.
