The Security Lieutenant, under the direction of the Director of Security or his/her Assistant,
will be responsible for supervising the Security operations and personnel for their assigned
shift to ensure the protection of the hospital’s patients, visitors, staff, buildings, properties,
equipment and assets.
The Security Lieutenant will provide direct supervision to the Security Sergeants under their
commend in order to maintain a comprehensive Security operation throughout Cooper
University Hospital, to include all parking concerns related to parking garages and parking
lots that are owned or leased by Cooper Hospital.
The Security Lieutenant will provide the necessary support to the Director and/or Assistant
Director of Security and assume all the duties and responsibilities of the Director in the
absence of the Director and the Assistant Director of Security.
