Short Description

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) Per Diem - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardio Surgery - OR

 

Assists the supervising surgeon in the management of patients and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the surgeon. 

 

Provides first and second assist in Saphenous vein harvest and works closely with the surgeon in providing quality, efficient and continuous and cost-effective care during the patient's hospitalization.

Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a first assist and with endoscopic vein harvest. Experience with radial artery harvest is preferred.

Education Requirements

Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant

License/Certification Requirements

New Jersey-Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant license; Board certified and American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certification
