A Registered Nurse who has completed educational preparation in Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing and demonstrates professional competence in this specialized nursing field.
Demonstrates competence and knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients of all ages with WOC needs. Serve as consultant to all disciplines and departments, area of expertise, and patient population and participate on relevant committees and task forces as a clinical expert.
Develops system-wide protocols and procedures for WOCN nursing care delivery
Leadership and management of the WOCN department
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
Certification in Wound Care preferred
