Responsible and accountable to the Director of Procurement Services
Responsible for the supervision of Purchasing staff as determined by the Vice President
Supply Chain.
Responsible for the development of RFP's, bid analysis, sourcing, maintenance of the contract management system, maintenance of service contracts and consignment agreements, development of cost savings initiatives, contract review, and records retention.
Chairs or attends monthly committee as needed.
5 years of progressive management experience in supply chain management required, preferably in a health care environment.
Knowledge of MMIS, surgical supplies and an understanding of GPO relationships required.
Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.
Must have demonstrated a high degree of planning, organizational, analytical, and financial skills and be able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization.
Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Experience may be accepted in lieu of a college degree.
MS Office suite with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Advanced skills in MS Excel required.
