Weapons Screening Officers will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members through proper weapons detection screening processes as established by the security department. They will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills while protecting and preserving the interests and property the organization.
Ensure that all individuals entering weapons screening areas are properly processed which may include searching personal belongings and/or hand-held metal detection screening of individuals to ensure no unauthorized weapons enter the facility.
Greet all who enter the facilities in a pleasant manner.
Controls flow of all pedestrian traffic into the properties of Cooper Health System by directing visitors where and when necessary.
Conducts investigations and prepares resulting reports.
Monitors visitor and employee behavior and when required utilizes verbal/non-verbal persuasive measures to insure compliance to policy and procedures.
Responds to emergent duress situations
Driving security vehicle
Performs all related duties or special projects as assigned/required.

Current NJ-CPR Certification (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation Preferred
